Brian T. FitzPatrick

Brian FitzPatrick has extensive experience in commercial litigation. Having practiced with both large and small firms, Mr. FitzPatrick has worked on a wide variety of commercial cases, including suits involving corporate fraud, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, attorney malpractice, insurance coverage and whistleblowers. The size of the cases have included major litigations and class actions. Along with handling commercial cases at Belluck & Fox, Mr. FitzPatrick works on investigating and litigating against the defendant asbestos corporations in our clients’ cases.

Mr. FitzPatrick received a J.D. from Antioch School of Law and an LL.M. (business crimes) from New York University School of Law. Mr. FitzPatrick served as a law clerk to the Hon. Steffen W. Graae of the District of Columbia Superior Court and as a law clerk to the Hon. Edward R. Neaher of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. FitzPatrick is co-author of The Law of Evidence in the District of Columbia (Mathew Bender/Lexis 2006), which is the seminal treatise on evidentiary law in the District of Columbia courts. Mr. FitzPatrick has authored a law review article on the enhanced banking crime penalties published in Georgetown's American Criminal Law Review.

Mr. FitzPatrick is a member of the Bar Association of the City of New York where he served on the litigation committee from 2000–2006. During his committee tenure, Mr. Fitzpatrick co-authored a report on the Civil Appeals Management Program of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. FitzPatrick is counsel to For the Good of the Neighborhood, a not-for-profit corporation that provides sports-related activities to youth in low-income areas of Queens, New York.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is admitted to practice in New York, Minnesota and  the District of Columbia.
