The focus of the company was producing a product of resins and specialty chemicals. There was approximately, I remember at the time, about six buildings that were involved in the process, including warehouses, production areas, including kettles, belts to flake the resin, and boiler rooms.

Any repair that would naturally be done, but it was also every year they'd be shut down, and we'd open up the boilers to clean them, and that would usually involve removing inspection doors, removing plates, removing any ... If there's any work on the burner head itself, removing that. Also, repairing fire brick in the throat of the boilers, and that was every year. Every year, that was done.

Like I said, removing inspection doors or removing relief valves. There again, that was the gaskets, asbestos gaskets that would be removed. Naturally when you removed them, you would have to either scrape them or wire wheel them off to make the flame just clean again, put the new gaskets on, and of course that would create dust. Then also the fire brick, cutting fire brick, installing the fire brick and the mortar, and then at the end of the job, cleaning it up.
