Bliss & Laughlin

Belluck & Fox has represented workers at Bliss & Laughlin Industries in Buffalo, NY.  Bliss & Laughlin Industries, Inc. was founded in 1891 and has had a plant in Buffalo, New York since 1929.  Bliss & Laughlin constructed the steel mill that was located on Hopkins Street in South Buffalo. The mill consists of a 130,000 square foot building that is used to manufacture steel bars. The mill was acquired by Ramco Steel in 1985, then by Niagara Cold Dawn Corporation, and finally by Niagara in 1997. The mill operates today under Niagara-Lasalle and has approximately 150 employees.

Mesothelioma and Bliss & Laughlin

Unfortunately, many of our clients who worked at Bliss & Laughlin Industries, Inc. are being diagnosed with mesothelioma. During the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, asbestos dust was emitted into the air and inhaled by union and non-union laborers. Asbestos was also used in the construction of the mill.

At Belluck & Fox, our nationally recognized asbestos attorneys have extensive experience fighting for families and workers exposed to asbestos. We are proud to have secured more than $1 billion so far for asbestos victims and their families.
